Call for a silent protest: problems of the refugees in camp Calden

Am Montag, den 28.09.2015 um 14 Uhr findet vor dem Regierungspräsidium Kassel (Steinweg 6) eine Kundgebung statt. Diese Veranstaltung wird von einem Teil der Geflüchteten in Calden selbst organisiert. Diese wollen auf bestehende Missstände im Lager hinweisen. Bemängelt werden fehlende Informationen beispielsweise über die Länge des Aufenthaltes in Calden oder über Abläufe im Asylverfahren. Das Fehlen von Toiletten und Duschen in ausreichender Menge, die mangelnde Privatsphäre und die dürftige medizinische Grundversorgung sind weitere Missstände, auf die aufmerksam gemacht werden soll. Nicht zu letzt fürchten die Geflüchteten, dass die Unterbringung in den Zelten auch im Winter fortgeführt wird und sich die Umstände weiter verschlechtern.

Solidarisiert euch mit den Geflüchteten in Calden und in anderen Lagern!

Zeigt diese Solidarität und kommt am Montag, den 28.09.2015, 14 Uhr zum Regierungspräsidium und begleitet die protestierenden Menschen auf der Kundgebung bei ihrem stillen Protest.

On Monday, 09/28/2015 at 14 o’clock, a rally takes place in front of the Regierungspräsidium Kassel (Steinweg 6). This event is organized by part of the fugitives in Calden themselves. They want to draw attention to existing grievances in the camp. These are, for example: The lack of information regarding the length of their stay in Calden or procedures in the asylum process. The lack of toilets and showers in sufficient quantity, the lack of privacy and poor basic health care are more grievances that should be brought to public awareness. Last but not least the fugitives fear that their accommodation in tents will be continued during winter, thus further worsening the situation.
